Joe Mullins
Joe recently completed filming the lead role of Joe Walsh in the feature film THE LINE, directed by Danny McCafferty. Recent screen credits include the role of Maguire in the feature film ANN which was directed by Ciaran Creagh and the role of Samuel in the feature film THERE THERE directed by Michael Polish for Stormlight Media.
He is best-known for his performance as Jimmy Walsh in Gerard Barrett’s acclaimed PILGRIM HILL.
PILGRIM HILL was selected for the Telluride Film Festival 2012, the BFI London Film Festival 2012, and also won the Bingham Ray New Talent Award at the Galway Film Festival 2012.
Other recent credits include the male lead role of John in feature film THE YELLOW WALLPAPER directed by Kevin Pontuti for Emerald Giant Productions & Hysteria Pictures, the role of Lad in the short film 'Haven' directed by Mo O'Connell (Winner of Kerry Film Bursary 2021), the role of Brian McBride in the RTE drama, RESISTANCE directed by Catherine Morshead, John O'Brien in the feature film PROPERTY OF THE STATE directed by Kit Ryan and Terence Ryan, the role of Patrick in COIL directed by Steve Kenny, and the lead role in THE CLOCKMAKER'S DREAM (Best Irish Short at the 2016 Fastnet Film Awards) both directed by Cashell Horgan.
Further screen credits include Ciaran Creagh’s first feature film IN VIEW, Graham Jones’ DAVIN, Gerard Barrett’s GLASSLAND, RTÉ series LOVE/HATE and short films DAY OFF directed by Stephen Hall for RTÉ, and Ian Hunt Duffy's GRIDLOCK.
Joe is also an experienced voice-over artist, voicing the role of The Alien in a story called 'The Chosen One' for THE TRUTH podcast in New York, the role of Fr Augustine / Dick Humphries on the critically acclaimed three-part documentary ' 1916 ' for RTE & PBS, and the role of Jimmy in THE MAN IN THE BARN, a co-production of The Truth Recordings (USA) and RTÉ Radio, for RTÉ Radio Drama on One.
He is based between Dublin and Limerick.
